Crowd Crossing
Breakdown
Here, a big agent is attempting to cross a one way road. In order for the big agent to wait out the horde that is crossing, we made the agent go backwards. Once it reached a certain point at the back of its alley, it goes back towards its targeted goal. By the time it reaches the intersection, most of the agents have crossed. The remaining agents and the big agent reach their goals at nearly the same time.
The main thing we were concerned here was that the agent does not collide with the other agents. If regular social forces was run, it would get carried away by the horde of agents.
